Meet the Hosts

Bubba Snider attended Bethany College to play baseball and wanted to become a sports broadcaster. While at Bethany, Bubba became the host on the morning radio station for the college, but this ended when he got fired (watch Bubba’s interview to learn more). Even though things didn’t turn out great for Bubba at the college’s radio station, he never gave up on his dream. Bubba started his, official, radio career at the age of 19, as an intern producer at B94 radio station and he has never left. He stuck it out through the ups and downs and has only had a career in the radio business. Through his successes, Bubba is now a well-known figure in the Pittsburgh area with his own radio show, the Bubba Show.

Melanie Taylor started her broadcasting career as a sophomore in high school when she became the host of the morning announcements. She enjoyed talking in front of people and came to realize she was really great at it. She then turned this dream into a career in 1996, when she got her first radio job a week following her graduation from Indian University of Pennsylvania (IUP). There she studied Broadcast Communication Media.

The Bubba Show truly has created a family that they refer to as “the Bubba Show Family.” The hosts engage listeners daily by having them call into the station to get involved in the segments. These segments are on a variety of different topics and are fun ways for the hosts to entertain listeners while engaging them through radio call in’s and also social media.

The Bubba Show and the Bubba Show family also have many charitable initiatives to give back to the community. Currently the team is collecting toys for “Yes Pittsburgh there is a Santa” and the “Hope for the Holidays Gift Drive.”

Melanie and Bubba are so devoted to their work being the hosts of the Bubba Show but are extremely busy in their personal lives, as well. Melanie is very active with dance. She enjoys her time teaching fitness classes and is certified in both group fitness and bare classes. Bubba is also extremely physically active participating in professional wrestling along with coaching high school baseball. Also, Bubba is the owner of Bubba’s Gourmet Burgers & Beers with locations in Bridgeville, PA, Highland, WV and soon to open Canonsburg, PA.
