Need a new place to explore in the Pittsburgh area? Well, Pittsburgh’s Strip District is the perfect destination for you! The a historic neighborhood located along side the Allegheny River is a one-half square mile area running between 12th and 33rd streets and includes main roads, Smallman St., Penn Ave., and Liberty Ave.

Using Thinglink, I will create a story all about the Strip District in Pittsburgh. My main video will be taken on a busy weekend day in the neighborhood, showing the streets, attractions and visitors. I will then be linking to close up pictures and videos of popular attractions such as the Heinz History Museum, Wholey’s Fish market, the popular fresh produce market, Grandpa Joe’s Candy shop, etc. Also, I will be linking to websites and facts about these places. Along with the popular attractions, I want to also focus on the ‘hidden treasures’ the Strip District has to offer. There are so many aspects of the neighborhood that people don’t even know about such as the handmade products or live street musicians.

The Strip District is the perfect destination to explore, especially for college students because mostly everything is very affordable. Students will be able to learn about the popular attractions, along with seeing attractions they did not known about before.
